Technical Solutions Architect - €700-750 per day- Hybrid

About the role

A key Irish Government Regulatory Organisation is looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to join their team and play a key role in the delivery of a Digital Transformation program they currently have underway.

The ideal candidate will have strong track record of Solutions design/delivery and a deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Technology Stack, in particular dynamics 365. They will also have excellent client negotiating/consulting skills along with some experience of working on an enterprise level architectural solution for a government/public sector organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with the Solutions Architect required onsite approximately 2 days per week at our offices in South Co. Dublin, which may occasionally increase at key project junctures. While the role is initially offered on a 6-12-month basis, there is a strong probability that it will be extended well beyond this timeframe.

Responsibilities of Role:

• Technical Leadership & Oversight
• Advise on solution architecture, systems integration, and implementation.
• Validate and support supplier's architecture and design.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Provide architectural direction across Security, Application, Infrastructure, and DevOps.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, IT strategies, and best practices.
• Guarantee compliance with security, data protection, and GDPR standards.
• Oversee delivery of comprehensive technical documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-business reuse of components and integrated architectures.

Project Delivery

• Support project planning (activities, resources, timelines, costs).
• Ensure readiness for post go-live operational management.
• Maintain awareness of new technologies and guide adoption.

Quality Assurance

• Review solution design for manageability, maintainability, robustness, and integration.
• Ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Technology Expertise

• Apply knowledge across domains: Applications, Infrastructure, Integration, Security, and Data.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of platforms like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, Dataverse and the wider Microsoft Technology stack.

Experience & Technical Requirements

• Third level degree or postgraduate qualification in IT, Computer Science or other are relevant to the role
• Microsoft Professional Certification
• 7+ Years experience in Architectural design
• Strong track record of working with the Microsoft Technology Stack which should include Microsoft Dynamics 365 (7+ years), Power Apps, Pages, Portal or similar technologies (2+ years), Azure DevOps (2+ years), Dataverse (2+ years)
• Experience of working as a technical architect on large system implementation projects.
• Experience of data migration projects in a large enterprise environment
• While not essential, experience of working on large scale solutions projects for Irish or other European government organisations would be advantageous.
