Job summary

EXL in Dublin is seeking a Commercial Counsel to handle technology transactions, strategic partnerships, and complex commercial contracts. You will draft, negotiate and close software licenses, SaaS and hosting agreements while advising cross‑functional teams on legal risks and compliance in a dynamic, global data and AI environment.

You will collaborate with product, sales, privacy, finance and operations, helping to shape templates and playbooks and stay ahead of evolving data privacy and AI

Qualifications

3–7 years’ PQE with focus on technology law and complex commercial contracts/alliances.
Private practice plus in‑house experience preferred, ideally in a fast‑growth or multinational.
Self‑starter, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate a broad range of technology agreements (software licensing, SaaS, hosting, services).
Provide high‑quality, commercially minded legal advice across the business.
Collaborate with product, sales, operations, privacy and security teams to address risks.
Improve templates, playbooks and contract management processes.
Stay current on data privacy/AI laws and industry developments.
