PwC Ireland is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager in Tax Risk & Controversy. You will lead and execute strategies around Revenue interventions, disclosures and settlements, while coaching junior staff and driving value for clients. As a Manager/ Senior Manager in the Tax Risk & Controversy team, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive experience, helping our clients navigate through Revenue interventions and, more broadly, manage their tax risk. This is an emerging and dynamic area within Tax, making it an exciting time to get involved. This role offers an excellent opportunity for tax professionals to pivot into a high-growth specialism and broaden their expertise across Tax Risk & Controversy. We are committed to your development and will provide dedicated time and resources for upskilling across all areas of Tax Risk & Controversy, ensuring you succeed.
5+ years desired of tax experience, working in the Revenue Commissioners or a Big 4 firm / mid-tier practice or similar. Ideally the candidate should have experience of Revenue audits but this is not a prerequisite. Tax or Accountancy qualification (or qualified by experience) with a strong academic record. Expert at directing and driving the success of multiple engagements. Business Acumen - use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making innovative business decisions. Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships. Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
