Job summary

PwC Ireland’s Tax Technology & Transformation team is a partner-led group delivering technology-enabled tax solutions to a broad range of clients. You will combine tax knowledge with technology delivery, shaping future state systems and driving efficiency in tax functions.

We seek leaders who can manage multi-disciplinary teams, deliver complex projects, and develop market opportunities within a global network. Availability for visa sponsorship is noted.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in tax or tax technology consultancy related role
• Consistent track record in leading, designing, and implementing tax technology solutions
• Experience with ERP tax solutions (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.)
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities

About the role

PwC Ireland’s Tax Technology & Transformation team is part of Ireland’s leading Tax practice. We are a dynamic Partner led team with diverse Tax, Finance and IT backgrounds. Our team works with market leading clients in a broad range of industry sectors to advise them on and to implement the right technology solutions for tax. We help clients design and implement the right tax technology strategies to handle tax risks, improve efficiency and take advantage of the opportunities presented by technology. Our team is expanding due to our clients’ growing demand to enable more efficient processes and technology to support the tax function as the volume and complexity of global tax compliance and regulatory requirements continues to increase.

Our work is increasingly varied and involves supporting organisations with all aspects of tax technology across all tax heads including:

• The development of long term tax function tax technology strategies and alignment of same with wider business operating model objectives;


• The design, build and implementation of tax solutions using best-in-class artificial intelligence, robotics, data extraction, transformation and analytics functionality;


• The implementation of our market leading tax compliance and reporting solutions as well as tax workflow management and PwC hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions;


• The optimisation of core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support the delivery of data in fit-for-purpose for tax process execution.

What you will do

By combining tax technical expertise with technology and systems improvement opportunities, you will drive positive tax ground-breaking objectives and deliver a more efficient tax function for our clients. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading go to market business development initiatives while continuing to research and integrate best in class emerging technologies.


• Interpretation and documentation of client's tax and business requirements to support the future state systems design ambition and appropriate mix of tax technology solutions.


• Being responsible for project delivery teams in designing, building and integrating tax technology enabled solutions for clients.


• Building strong relationships and working across key client stakeholder groups (transfer pricing, corporate tax, indirect tax, finance, IT etc.) as well as working with PwC specialists internally and across PwC’s global network.


• Motivate the team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.

Who we are looking for

• 10+ years experience in tax or tax technology consultancy related role


• Consistent track record in leading, designing, and implementing best in class tax technology solutions.


• Considerable experience in tax or tax technology consultancy related roles working with tax related solutions in ERP systems and/or tax engines (SAP, Oracle, MSFT Dynamics, OneSource, Vertex or other).


• Certification or extensive experience in agile technology and analytic solutions preferable (MS VBA, SQL, MS Power Apps, Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath).


• Deep technical and project management capabilities from leading and delivering large and sophisticated tax transformation projects.


• Experience with a Big 4 firm, large ERP/consulting organisation multinational company with tax related experience preferable.


• Strong academic record (ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification preferable).


• Innovative and bold to develop business opportunities in order to generate growth within the tax technology and transformation offering and the firm.


• Superb communication skills both written and verbal.


• Leadership – commitment and experience to developing yourself, your team members, your clients and your business.
