Job description

We are delighted to be working with a well respected Irish business on this new opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take ownership of tax within a new finance function. You will play a key role in managing direct and indirect tax compliance across Ireland and UK, while also contributing to broader financial reporting and planning processes. The position reports directly into senior finance leadership and offers regular engagement with cross-functional teams. It’s an ideal role for someone looking to deepen their expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate tax compliance in key markets, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and related advisory requirements.
  • Lead VAT and withholding tax reporting processes across relevant regions.
  • Coordinate ad hoc filings including R&D incentives, environmental levies, and other emerging obligations.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities during audits and information requests.
  • Contribute to statutory reporting, with a focus on current and deferred tax positions.

About You

  • Professionally qualified in tax and/or accounting (e.g. CTA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Significant experience in corporate tax, ideally gained within a professional services firm or multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of domestic tax regulations, with additional exposure to international tax frameworks being a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable managing deadlines in a dynamic setting.
