Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate panel homes data and decide on potential faults.
  • Review new homes data and determine if they pass checks to be live.
  • Liaise with Panel Service and Field Technician teams to address data issues.
  • Provide guidance to field engineers on data quality sources.
  • Use dashboards to investigate issues affecting data quality.
  • Investigate unusual viewing patterns in daily results.
  • Monitor performance and accuracy of the Fifty5Blue team and data entry.
  • Ensure procedures align with specifications and SLAs.

* This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Ireland office. We operate on a hybrid working arrangement and require a minimum of 2 days in the office. Overview

Fifty5Blue has been awarded the contract to deliver the Television Audience Measurement service in the Republic of Ireland from January 2028. As part of this, we will build a new panel to measure television consumption across the Republic of Ireland, using our state-of-the-art metering technology and backend systems to deliver high-quality, accurate data to the industry every day. The QC Analyst is at the heart of our quality management process for the TAM Ireland service. They will have a strong understanding of Quality Control best practice; be confident in carrying out daily analysis of overnight figures from the previous day’s viewing and investigating any anomalies, allowing us to be confident in the accuracy of the data before it is published. They will subsequently apply a more granular level of checks to homes with potential faults flagging any issues for further investigation and remedial action. User Acceptance Testing of software upgrades and new products will also be carried out as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluating the data received from panel homes and taking a decision on whether there any potential faults that need to be followed up
  • Reviewing data collected from new homes and taking a decision on whether a home has passed all the necessary checks and criteria to become a live home on the active panel
  • Liaising with the Panel Service and Field Technician teams to address issues precluding homes from reporting accurately
  • Helping to provide information and guidance to field engineers on the source of problems causing issues with data quality
  • Using a wide of tools and dashboards to investigate issues that might have a detrimental impact on data quality
  • Performing investigations to understand any unusual trends or patterns of viewing behaviour observed in daily results
  • Monitoring the performance and accuracy of the Fifty5Blue team, including installation and data entry
  • Ensuring that all procedures are carried out in accordance with the agreed specification
  • Undertaking QC activities within specified timeframes to ensure that Service Level Agreements are met
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience of using Excel generally but must understand how to perform V-Lookups and Pivot tables.
  • Previous experience of building databases using Access and writing Python scripts would be advantageous
  • Experience of running statistical data analyses in a previous role or to satisfy an academic qualification
  • Ability to work alone and prioritise workload
  • A confident person and with good communications skills
  • May need to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
