Job summary

Research Ireland in Dublin 2 is seeking a Systems Implementation Analyst on a specified purpose contract for three days per week on site. The role supports the SESAME system and broader information systems stack within the Finance, Research Policy & Operations Directorate.

The analyst will configure systems, manage projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data governance, reporting, and automation using Excel, Tableau and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience with application configuration within a CMS or similar environment.
• Experience working in SQL, JavaScript, CSS, XML and HTML.
• Demonstrable track record in managing complex projects using recognised methodologies, with Agile experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Able to work on own initiative and be a self-starter.
• Hands-on coding involvement in prototypes and PoC implementations.

Responsibilities

• Engagement with stakeholders at all levels on complex cross-organisational projects.
• Configuring systems end-to-end, troubleshooting and QA testing to mitigate risk.
• Product management of Research Ireland's information systems and requirements gathering.
• Leverage Office 365 and SharePoint to optimise business processes.
• Support the implementation of Data Strategy and use tools like Excel, Tableau for insights.
• Provide support for internal and external users of Research Ireland's information systems.
• Create training material and train staff on information systems.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies.
