Job summary

eir business talent is seeking a senior Systems Administrator for a six‑month daily-rate contract in Dublin 2. The role emphasizes deep Microsoft 365 administration, Intune governance, Azure management and a strong focus on Entra ID transitions.

You will lead security and identity initiatives, manage endpoints, and oversee on‑prem AD transition efforts while supporting Defender and SentinelOne security tooling. Eligible candidates must be able to work full time in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in systems administration with M365
• Hands-on experience with all portals in Microsoft 365 Admin Center
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID user management
• Experience with Microsoft Intune administration and Azure services

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and governance of Microsoft Intune for endpoint management across a Windows 11 estate
• Admin portals within Microsoft 365 including SharePoint Online, Outlook, Defender, Purview and Teams
• Assist in administration and maintenance of virtual servers, networks and mobile estate
• Ensure security, integrity, and availability of ICT systems and data
• Azure administration and management of on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID transitions
• Manage transition to Entra ID from hybrid setup and migrate VMs to Azure
• Defender for Business and SentinelOne management
• Monitor security and respond to alerts and incidents

eir business talend are seeking applications for a Systems Administrator, this is a 6-month day rate contract located in Dublin 2.

Role Summary

This is a senior role requiring a dynamic Microsoft focused system administrator who is technically very strong on the various admin portals within M365.

System Administration

• Lead the administration and governance of Microsoft Intune for endpoint management across a Windows 11 estate.
• Administration of all the portals within Microsoft 365 including SharePoint Online, Outlook, Defender, Purview and Teams
• Assist in the administration and the maintenance of virtual servers, networks and our mobile estate
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of ICT systems and data.
• Microsoft Azure Administration
• Management of on-premise Active Directory
• Management of transition over to full Entra ID from our current hybrid setup
• Management of transition of virtual servers over to Azure
• Defender for Business Antivirus/Antimalware/Anti ransomware Management.
• Sentinel One Antivirus/Antimalware/Anti ransomware Management.

Microsoft 365 & Identity (Entra ID)

• Create, update, and delete user accounts in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
• Assign licenses, reset passwords, and manage group memberships.
• Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender and Purview
• Be proactive in terms of security e.g. Daily Monitoring user sign-in logs for suspicious activities.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Self-Service Password Reset for all users.
• Manage device compliance policies using Microsoft Intune or Endpoint Manager.
• Respond to security alerts from Microsoft Defender.
• Help run cyber simulation tests
• Administer conditional access policies

Experience

• 5 to 6 years of experience in systems administration with M365
• Strong hands-on experience with all portals in Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Strong hands-on experience Microsoft Entra ID user management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune.
