Job summary

Vertiv Ireland is seeking a Test Team Operative/Technician to ensure safe, accurate and efficient testing of LV and HV switchgear. You will contribute to quality and reliability by maintaining rigorous records and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, applying test procedures, and participating in FAT/FWT handovers with customers. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong communication are essential.

• Strong technical knowledge of LV switchgear.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Health and Safety of all personnel during live testing.
• Ensure tools and test equipment are safe and inspected.
• Conduct predefined electrical tests on LV/HV switchgear.
• Record test results accurately in digital and manual logs.
• Verify results against predetermined values.
• Upload/manage test reports in the system repository.
• Assist with fault diagnosis and remedial actions.
• Flag design issues in Change Order system and mark drawings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and CAD to process Change Orders.
• Attend pre-FAT/FWT handover meetings and FATs with clients.
