Job summary

Alternative Heat Ltd in Dundalk is seeking an MEP BIM Engineer to support the delivery of prefabricated solutions and decarbonisation-driven projects. You will produce and coordinate MEP models, ensuring seamless integration with design and fabrication teams and supporting digital delivery goals.

You will lead model coordination workshops, manage the CDE, and drive sustainability through BIM data, lean construction methods, and coordination across stakeholders for buildable, clash-free solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and coordinating MEP BIM models in a design and build environment.
• Strong proficiency with Revit and Navisworks for clash-free, buildable solutions.
• Proven ability to drive sustainability through BIM data and decarbonisation-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage fully coordinated MEP models using Revit & Navisworks.
• Prepare fabrication-ready models, LO D500 deliverables, and detailed spool drawings for offsite manufacturing.
• Lead model coordination workshops with consultants, suppliers and site teams.
• Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) with version control and data integrity.
• Coordinate updates during construction from redlines and site markups.
• Produce as-installed models for commissioning and handover.
• Support decarbonisation goals through BIM-based energy and material decisions.
