Job summary

Praxis Care is recruiting Support Workers to empower individuals to develop independent living skills within person-centred plans. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality, respectful care that promotes independence and dignity.

The role offers flexible patterns (full-time, part-time, relief) with salaries based on 39 hours (FTE) and pro rata to contracted hours. Training and safety procedures are emphasized to support a positive work environment.

Job Summary:

All advertised salaries are based on 39 hours (FTE) and will be pro rata to contracted hours.**

About The Role
Key Accountabilities:
  • Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with managing domestic or social skills and personal care.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
  • Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations that may arise from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
  • Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
  • Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
  • Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
Requirements of the Role:
  • Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
  • Adhere to and model the company values, behaviours, and competencies at all times.
  • Carry out all duties of the post in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
  • Be prepared to take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Work the necessary hours to meet the needs of the service.
  • Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €101.60 per night applies

Essential:
  • Numeracy and literacy skills.

  • Full valid ROI/UK/EU driving license and access to own vehicle (If a disability precludes an individual from holding a driver’s license, they should state how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post).
