Overview

Support Worker CE Scheme - Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Eligibility for CE is generally linked to those aged 21 or over in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Eligibility will be verified by the Department. To register your interest contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre. Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Support for people with Intellectual Disabilities in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Duties include supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities with activities of daily living, promoting higher levels of independence, and encouraging their full participation in the community. You will be mentored and guided during your time on CE to ensure you gain the qualifications, networking opportunities and relevant experience necessary to gain full-time employment.

Skills Required:

  • You must have a kind, patient nature and be able to work with vulnerable people.
  • An understanding of confidentiality is essential.
  • Flexibility in work and hours.
  • A full clean manual driving licence is essential to progress your career as a Support Worker.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
  • Must be willing to partake in QQI accredited Healthcare training.
  • Garda vetting and/or international police clearance is required for this post.
