Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Structural Design Team Lead to oversee the design and delivery of HV substation projects. This role involves leading a dynamic team of structural engineers while ensuring the successful completion of projects across Ireland and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience. The position offers a hybrid working model and various benefits including health insurance discounts and a pension.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ structural design experience within utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design.
• Full driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team delivering substation projects.
• Oversee the design of steel structures and foundations.
• Review and approve structural calculations and drawings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for project delivery.
• Manage project resources and design risk assessments.
• Support site activities to ensure timely delivery.
