Job summary

The ESB is hiring a Project Development Engineer to join the Networks Projects Development team in Ireland. You will contribute to technical scoping, costing, and the development of project briefs and management plans guiding the transition to delivery.

Based in Dublin with travel to project sites, the role emphasizes collaboration with the Centre of Engineering, ESB Networks, and the Technical Costing Unit to ensure successful Capital Approval processes and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in substation design or related field.
• Strong understanding of substation scoping, planning, design, costing, construction and commissioning.
• Ability to deliver with safety, time, cost and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own end deliverables during Project Development phase (scope, costs, timelines).
• Develop Project Briefs into viable Management Plans for transition to Project Delivery.
• Prepare Scope of Works and Project Costs for approval within target timelines.
• Assist with Out Of Scope/Interface scheduling for EPC and D&B projects.
• Coordinate inputs with stakeholders at the project development stage.
