Join our team at ESB Engineering & Major Projects, where we are at the forefront of engineering for ESB’s Transmission & Distribution businesses. We also offer consultancy services in T&D technology for external clients.
As a key part of ESB Engineering & Major Projects, the Transmission and Distribution Delivery department is responsible for designing high voltage transmission and distribution assets for ESB Networks. This includes both conceptual and detailed engineering design, design safety management (Project Supervisor Design Stage), project programming, and commercial management. Collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including Networks Project Delivery and external delivery services, is a crucial aspect of this role.
In this role, you will leverage your significant experience in design and project delivery to manage multi-discipline projects. You will need a strong project management and technical design background, detailed knowledge of internal safety procedures, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will provide leadership and technical guidance to the design team in all aspects of project conception, including the development of conceptual and planning stage substation layouts, sections, elevations, and 3D substation design. The role also involves design review, contract management, training, development, mentoring, and interfacing with other physical design engineers and clients.

This position will be based in either E&MP Offices in One Dublin Airport Central or EastGate, Cork but regular travel to project location is a key requirement.
