Job summary

Jabil in Waterford invites a student to join the Program Management Office as a Student Programs Engineer for a 6-month placement. The role focuses on technical support, documenting processes, and updating schedules and quality records.

You will participate in improvement projects and assist with root-cause investigations across process, tooling, or operations. Ideal candidates are pursuing an honours degree in engineering or related fields, with strong teamwork, communication, and data analysis

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Be able to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good data analysis skills.
• Lean Six Sigma skills understanding an advantage.
• CAD experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Medical device product and process characterization & optimization through designing, documenting, and executing experiments and tests including participating in FMEA's, DOE's etc.
• Support technical problem solving and root cause investigations.
• Support the development of tooling or equipment documentation, update CAD drawings, document procedures, work instructions as required in the Quality Management System.
• Support validations and qualifications of new equipment and material.
• Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives
• Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes
• Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position

This 6-month placement is ideally suited to a student currently attending college and seeking practical industry experience as part of their studies. pursuing an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline

The Student Programs Engineer will provide technical support in the Program Management Office and support Moulding Auxiliary Equipment qualifications. To update and upload quality documentation, updating Gantt charts and project schedules/reports. Be involved in improvement projects, and support technical problem solving with root cause investigations in process, tooling or operations.
