Job summary

You will operate plant machinery, use hand and power tools, and work independently or in a team to deliver projects on time. Experience in CAD drawings and fabrication is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience erecting and installing structural steelwork on construction sites.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work on erecting and installing structural steelwork on construction sites, together with welding and associated steel fabrication duties.

Main Duties include:

• Erect and install structural steelwork on site.
• Position, align, fit and secure structural steel components.
• Bolt and connect structural steelwork in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret structural steel drawings.
• Carry out welding of structural steel components and connections.
• Prepare steel components for welding, cutting, and grinding.
• Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Ability to follow CAD drawings.
• Working on your own initiative.
• Must be able to operate plant machinery.
