Job summary

Verizon in Ireland is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Consultant to drive sourcing strategies across the enterprise in a hybrid work model. You will lead spend analysis, market research, RFX, and contract management with senior stakeholders to secure best value.

You will develop relationships with suppliers, manage cross-functional teams, and negotiate terms that balance cost and quality. A strong background in Strategic Sourcing and knowledge of contracting terminology are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• Proven relevant experience in Strategic Sourcing.
• Knowledge of the legal language, terminologies related to contracting.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift to meet work project completion requirements.
• Willingness to continuously learn new tools, solutions, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across the enterprise.
• Manage seven steps of the sourcing process: Spend analysis, Market Research, Supplier Due Diligence, Sourcing Strategy, RFX Management, Bid Analysis and Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management.
• Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) and negotiate contracts at Senior Management level.
• Analyze financial data and supplier proposals to support supplier base development.
• Develop sourcing strategies to obtain materials/services at the right price and quality.
• Execute supplier relationship management activities for key suppliers.
