Job summary

Verizon is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies across categories, managing spend analysis, RFXs, negotiations and supplier performance. You will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with Legal and Contract Management to secure best-value terms.

The role operates in a hybrid setup with a broad supplier base, requiring strong relationship-building and data-driven decision making to support a world-class supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant years of work experience in Strategic Sourcing.
• Knowledge of contracting terms and legal language.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift to meet project requirements.
• Willingness to continuously learn new tools, solutions and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using cross-functional relationships to achieve best total value.
• Manage the seven steps of the sourcing process from spend analysis to contract management.
• Lead supplier evaluation, negotiations and performance management.
• Develop cross-functional teams and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across categories.
• Lead negotiations at senior management level to secure favorable terms and align with legal teams.
