Job summary

Turner & Townsend is hiring to support the implementation of an integrated risk management process across major capital programmes or projects. Responsibilities include planning, designing and implementing risk processes tailored to client needs and best practices, articulating risk benefits, and leading risk activities to manage threats and opportunities.

The role requires experience in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, risk workshops, and development of mitigation actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience or proven experience in risk management.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk including probabilistic modelling (@risk, PRA and P6 proficiency – or equivalent).
• Working understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost and schedule) on large programmes or projects.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a drive to find better ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and implement risk management processes tailored to client needs and industry best practice.
• Articulate the benefits of risk management to stakeholders.
• Lead risk activities to actively manage risk and seek efficiencies across projects and programmes.
• Facilitate risk workshops with clients and project teams.
• Develop risk management practices to aid client organisations.
• Produce risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status.
• Drive mitigation actions across projects and programmes.
• Develop management responses with measurable post-mitigation positions.
• Create efficient risk contingency processes aligned with client requirements.
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points for risk budgeting and retirement of risks.
• Lead and mentor risk specialists and other roles across the organisation.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform contingency levels.
