Job summary

MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a Stores/Materials Handler to join our workshop operations in County Cork. The role involves receiving, inspecting, and signing off materials, loading and unloading deliveries, and positioning items around the workshop to support pipe laydown and fabrication areas.

Forklift experience is essential, and side loader experience would be advantageous. A background in stores and understanding of pipe fittings and related materials will help ensure safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is essential for loading and moving materials.
• Experience in Stores and material handling is required.
• Knowledge of mechanical materials (pipes, fittings, bolts) is advantageous.
• Isometrics knowledge is a plus for interpreting layouts.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand ISOs and work packs, gather required materials.
• Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Ensure materials delivered to stores are signed off correctly.
• Load and unload deliveries and materials, keep areas tidy and safe.
• Move materials around the Workshop as required and assist distribution.
• Support unloading of gas deliveries and maintain good housekeeping.
• Ensure loading/unloading follows relevant EHS requirements.

Requirements

Role & Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding ISOs and work packs. Gather materials required.
• Verifying quantities received against packing slips and purchase orders
• Ensuring materials delivered to stores are correctly signed off
• Loading and unloading deliveries and materials
• Keeping the Stores and surrounding areas tidy, organised and safe
• Moving and positioning materials around the Workshop as required
• Supporting the unloading of gas and other deliveries
• Maintaining good housekeeping within Stores and Pipe laydown areas
• Assisting with the distribution of materials to the Workshops
• Supporting the Stores team with general duties when required
• Ensuring all loading and unloading activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant EHS requirements
• Forklift experience is essential and side loader experience is an advantage.
• Previous Stores experience and an understanding of isometrics would be an advantage, Knowledge of mechanical process materials, particularly pipe and fittings, pipe shoes, bolts, gaskets etc would be a distinct advantage
