Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager for its Canada store in NL to lead a high-performing selling culture and deliver strong sales and a top-notch customer experience. You will oversee front-end operations, coach the team, and ensure SOPs, policies, and POS accuracy are followed daily.

Responsibilities include Manager-on-Duty coverage, omnichannel initiatives, and event oversight (Balloons, Birthday parties), with emphasis on customer engagement and loyalty enrollment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to model and coach selling behaviours to drive customer satisfaction.
• Proven track record of leading front-end and service operations to KPI goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programmes for legal compliance.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviours to drive conversion.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support transactions.
• Oversee events and in-store programmes (Balloons, Birthday parties) and loyalty enrollment.
• Drive omni-channel service and home delivery like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing training.
• Support asset protection and shrink reduction.
