About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, family-run Irish retail business with a strong presence across multiple locations. Their stores offer a wide range of products including books, gifts, cards, stationery, and more, set within a multi-floor, welcoming environment. They are known for excellent customer service, community involvement, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere.

The Store Manager will be responsible for the full day-to-day running of a large, multi-level retail store. This includes leading the team, driving sales, delivering a high standard of customer service, and ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the store.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, support, and lead a team of approximately 20 staff

Deliver excellent customer service throughout the store

Drive store sales and meet performance targets

Oversee stock control, deliveries, and floor merchandising

Manage store operations including cash handling, staffing rotas, and compliance

Support community engagement through in-store events and local outreach

Report to Head Office and ensure policies and procedures are followed

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in a retail management role

Strong leadership and team development skills

Customer-focused with strong communication skills

Well-organised and capable of managing multiple priorities

Comfortable working with KPIs, rotas, and budgets

A background or interest in books, gifting, or lifestyle retail is beneficial

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
