Job summary

Intersport Elverys is seeking a Store Manager for our Irish retail network. You will oversee day-to-day store operations, drive sales and KPIs, recruit and develop the team, manage cash and budgets, and lead merchandising and customer service initiatives to ensure exceptional in-store experiences.

You will work with a strong focus on health and safety, policies, and processes, delivering high standards and identifying opportunities to grow the business across the store network.

Qualifications

2–3 years retail management experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and its impact on sales.
Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
Strong product knowledge.
Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.
3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day store operations: sales, staff, customer experience, security, health & safety, stock and resources.
Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with company policies.
Manage all cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required.
Drive in-store visual merchandising to engage and educate the customer.
Ensure in-store services are manned and promoted (e.g., Safesize, Assisted Selling).
Be security conscious and follow company guidelines to deter pilferage.
Own Health & Safety responsibilities and ensure staff training.
Identify customer requirements and develop additional non-direct business.
Implement projects aligned with company expectations.
Deliver excellent store standards consistently.
Key holder and main alarm-callout contact.
Provide cover for other stores as required.
Other duties to ensure successful operation.

Our Store Management teams are responsible for the overall operations and sales performance of our stores and ensuring that the right people and product are in place to achieve and exceed Company expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Every aspect of day-to-day operations in the store, including sales, team members, customer experience, security, health & safety, stock and resources management.
Meet and exceed store targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency to all.
Manage all cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, BC, etc).
Drive excellent Visual Merchandising in store to engage, inspire and educate the consumer.
Ensure all in-store services are suitably manned and promoted, e.g. Safesize, Assisted Selling, etc.
Be security conscious ensuring to follow company security guidelines aimed at deterring pilferage and protecting stock.
Responsible for overall Health & Safety in store. Ensure all team members are fully trained and following company policies and procedures with regard to Health & Safety.
Identify current and future customer requirements & develop additional non-direct business.
Ensure successful implementation of projects in line with company expectations.
Deliver excellent store standards consistently in line with business expectations.
Key holder and main call out person in the event of alarm activation.
Provide cover for other stores as required.
Any other activities as required in order to ensure the successful operation of the store.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

2/3 years retail management experience (dependent on store grade).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
Passionate about the delivery of an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom line.
Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
Strong product knowledge.
Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.
3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.
