Job summary

Home Project Centre Sales Ltd. is seeking a Permanent Stock Controller to maintain accurate inventory across the Navan branch. The role involves checking in stock on arrival, updating the stock system, and ensuring goods are scanned and recorded in line with company policy.

The successful candidate will manage stock takes, investigate variances, and coordinate with the purchaser/manager to ensure smooth stock control and return processes. 39 hours weekly, Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Experience in a similar stock/warehouse role is preferred.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of building materials is advantageous for stock handling and supplier coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stock arriving at the branch is checked in promptly.
• Record deliveries and processing on the stock system.
• Monitor Goods-Inwards and scan stock to update inventory.
• Manage inter-branch transfers and returns to suppliers.
• Conduct regular stock takes and investigate variances.
• Coordinate with Branch Purchaser/Manager to maintain stock accuracy.

Permanent, Full-Time, Stock Controller to join our Team

Job Purpose: To maintain an accurate inventory of all stock within the Branch, and ensure that all stock procedures are carried out in line with Group Policy on Stock Control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all goods that arrive in to the Branch are checked off in a timely manner.
• Checking off all stock and inputting on to the system in line with the Group Policy.
• Ensuring all scannable stock scanned.
• Monitoring of all Goods-Inwards on the stock system.
• Recording of deliveries, breakages/damages and shortages.
• Maintain and control of Special Orders area.
• Working with Branch Teams to ensure stock take preparation is carried out effectively.
• Addressing negative stocks on a daily basis.
• Investigation of variances after stock takes.
• Working with the Branch Purchaser and/or Manager.
• Control, implementation and recording of Inter Branch Transfers.
• Management of product returns to suppliers.
• Stock-taking, scheduling and carrying out cycle counts.
