Job summary

Tusker Steelworks Limited requires skilled steel erectors to fit and erect structural metal framework at sites in Ireland. You will review drawings, set up ladders, scaffolding or working cages, and supervise hoisting and alignment of girders and components.

Candidates should be able to bolt and weld metal parts as needed and verify alignment with levels and plumb rules. Prior experience in manufacturing or construction is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel erection and steelwork preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Examine drawings and specifications to assess job requirements.
• Erect ladders, scaffolding or working cage.
• Direct hoisting and positioning of girders and other metal parts and check alignment.
• Arrange for or undertake bolting and welding of metal parts.
• Check alignment of metal parts using spirit level and plumb-rule.
