Great projects deserve great stories. Join Jacobs and help bring some of the most important infrastructure, community and transformation programmes to life through engaging content, meaningful communications and authentic storytelling.

In this role, you'll help people understand the impact of the work being delivered, celebrate achievements, connect communities, and amplify the voices of the people making a difference every day.

This is an opportunity to build a rewarding communications career while working on high-profile projects that shape communities and improve lives.

You’ll benefit from:
  • The chance to work on major infrastructure and community programmes
  • Exposure to senior leaders, clients and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Opportunities to develop skills across content creation, digital communications, stakeholder engagement and campaign delivery
  • Variety in your day-to-day work, with no two projects the same
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture where ideas are valued
  • Career development opportunities within a global organisation

As a Communications & Engagement Consultant, you'll help ensure important projects are understood, celebrated and supported by the people they affect.

You’ll:
  • Create compelling stories, content and campaigns that engage internal and external audiences
  • Turn technical information into clear, accessible and engaging communications
  • Help raise awareness of project milestones, achievements and community impact
  • Strengthen connections between clients, project teams and stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of communications that build trust, understanding and engagement

Your work will help showcase the value of complex projects while highlighting the people behind their success.

Here’s what you’ll need

We're looking for a creative, proactive communications professional with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement.

Working closely with clients, project teams and colleagues across Jacobs, you'll create content that people genuinely want to read, watch and share. From newsletters and social media content to project case studies, presentations and digital campaigns, you'll play a key role in bringing projects, priorities and people to life.

You'll help manage communication channels, support stakeholder engagement activities, identify compelling stories and contribute to campaigns that raise awareness of the incredible work being delivered across the infrastructure and built environment sectors.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing creativity with organisation and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content

  • Experience creating content across digital and communication channels
  • The ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Confidence using digital communication tools and channels
  • An interest in infrastructure, engineering or the built environment

If you're excited by the idea of creating engaging content, building meaningful connections and helping deliver communications that make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
