Staff Software Engineer – Identity Security | Dublin, Hybrid

Staff Software Engineer opportunity with an established cybersecurity product company in Dublin. You will join a newly dedicated Identity team building security capabilities for human accounts, AI agents, service accounts and other machine identities.

This is a newly created, hands-on role. You will help shape how the product collects identity activity, detects suspicious behaviour and presents useful findings to customers. The team has strong knowledge of the existing platform and is looking for someone who can bring deeper identity-security expertise.

You will lead complex technical work while continuing to design systems and write code yourself. You will also work closely with security researchers and data scientists as the team explores emerging risks around AI agents and non-human identities.

The ideal candidate is a Staff-level software engineer with strong technical depth who has built identity-security capabilities, rather than only used identity tools to add sign-in to an application. Experience with machine identities or AI agents would be particularly relevant.

Skills / experience:

• Strong software engineering experience building and operating production systems
• Hands-on experience building identity-security products, features or capabilities
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, credentials, tokens and permissions
• Experience designing distributed or cloud-based systems and leading complex technical work
• Interest in how AI agents and other automated systems are given access and secured
