Job summary

European Tech Recruit is partnering to fill a Staff Software Engineer role based in Cork, Ireland, focused on AI accelerator card security and platform root of trust. You will contribute to secure provisioning, attestation, and firmware security across board-management and platform-management interfaces.

The role requires C for firmware/security review, Python for tooling, and familiarity with Redfish, SPDM, PLDM, and post-quantum attestation concepts.

Qualifications

• Security concepts for AI accelerator cards and peripheral devices.
• Experience with key/certificate management, root-of-trust security, boot-chain security, and firmware authentication.
• Experience performing security risk assessments and drafting security specifications.
• Proficiency in C and Python for firmware and tooling.
• Knowledge of Redfish, SPDM, PLDM protocols is advantageous.
• Familiarity with attestation and platform root of trust (PRoT).

Responsibilities

• Define and document security requirements for AI accelerator card components.
• Define secure communication between BMC and platform-management services (Redfish, SPDM, PLDM).
• Design processes for device identity, measurement, and attestation via PRoT.
• Design provisioning services for keys, certificates, identities in factory environments.
• Evaluate third-party components against security requirements and coordinate with vendors.
• Represent security in customer, vendor, and standards forums on attestation protocols.

Staff Software Engineer — AI Accelerator Card Security

We are partnered with a global leader in semiconductor and wireless technology innovation. The team is looking to hire a Staff Software Engineer to ensure the components and software on next-generation AI accelerator cards meet rigorous security requirements, covering secure provisioning, attestation, and platform root of trust.

This is a permanent, fully onsite opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.

Key responsibilities for this Staff Software Engineer position:

• Define and document security requirements for components on AI accelerator cards.


• Define secure communication mechanisms between the Board Management Controller (BMC) and platform-management services, including Redfish, SPDM, and PLDM interactions.


• Design and document processes for device identity, measurement collection, and attestation via a Platform Root of Trust (PRoT).


• Design device personalisation and provisioning services for keys, certificates, identities, and configuration data in factory environments.


• Evaluate third-party components against security requirements and work with vendors to address gaps.


• Represent the security team in customer, vendor, and standards forums related to attestation protocols.

Key requirements:

• Understanding of AI accelerator card components and their security relevance.


• Knowledge of key/certificate management, root-of-trust security, boot-chain security, and firmware authentication.


• Experience performing security risk assessments and drafting security specifications.


• Proficiency in C for firmware/software security review and Python for provisioning utilities and test automation.


• Understanding of MCTP, SPDM, PLDM, and Redfish protocols advantageous.


• Experience with OCP, CCC, or IETF RATS specifications and post-quantum cryptography in attestation a plus.
