Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join the Security Operations team in Ireland. You will design detections, lead complex incident response, and build automation to scale security across the environment.

You will own SIEM/data pipelines, work with detection engineering, and mentor less senior engineers while applying innovative tooling and AI-assisted approaches to improve detection coverage and response playbooks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response.
• Advanced knowledge of blue team security principles and scripting for automation.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and security data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and tune detections across security stack to identify threats.
• Lead incident response for complex investigations from triage to remediation.
• Build and maintain security automation workflows to reduce manual toil.
• Own and improve SIEM/data pipeline health including log source onboarding.
• Develop cross-functional relationships to drive adoption of security tooling.
• Stay aware of threat landscape and update detection coverage and playbooks.
