Job summary
LauraLynn Hospice in Ireland is seeking a Staff Nurse to cover maternity leave. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves providing care to children with life-limiting conditions in the family home and community settings.
You will join a multidisciplinary team, uphold high standards of paediatric nursing, and engage families with compassionate, patient-centred care. A nursing degree and NMBI registration are essential, with 3–5 years of paediatric experience depending on qualification.
Qualifications
- Fully registered with NMBI (RCN/RGN/RNID) or in process of registration.
- 3 years post-qualification paediatric experience for RCN; 5 years for RGN/RNID.
- Degree in Nursing or in progress of completing a degree.

Salary/Grade: Staff Nurse: €38,166 - €56,592/ ENP Scale: €45,259 - €58,424 as of 01st June 2026 pay scales

- RCN's require a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience working in a paediatric setting, acute or community setting with children or young people with complex/life-limiting nursing and palliative care needs
- RGN's/ RNID's require a minimum of 5 years' experience, working in a paediatric setting with children or young people with complex/life-limiting nursing and palliative care needs
- Hold a Degree in Nursing or be in the process of completing a degree
- Working knowledge of information technology
- Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrable experience of working with children with complex conditions and palliative care needs and their families
