Job summary

Moorehall Lodge Drogheda is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide holistic, person-centred care to residents at our Dublin Road facility. You will plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, working to promote independence and quality of life within HIQA standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, maintain accurate records, and advocate for residents and their families, supporting choice and participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• Nursing Qualifications (Essential).
• Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Essential).
• At least 3 years experience working as a staff Nurse in a Nursing home (Desirable).
• Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
• Candidates must possess leadership and administrative abilities for proper discharge of duties.
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised resident person-centred care plans within an agreed framework, in accordance with best practice, HIQA standards and evidence-based nursing research.
• Provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and quality of life for residents.
• Develop and maintain close links with residents, families/guardians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal input for residents.
• Maintain accurate written records and reports regarding resident care.
• Foster quality-focused care in a safe environment upholding residents' dignity.
• Support autonomy, consent and empowerment of residents.
• Act as advocate for residents and families, aiding decision-making and participation in community activities.

Education

Nursing Qualification (Essential)

Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Essential)

3 years experience in nursing home (Desirable)

Evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

Leadership & administration ability

Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
