RecruitNet International Ltd in Galway is seeking a Staff Nurse – Endoscopy to join our hospital partner.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, participate in assessment and planning, administer medications, monitor patients, and collaborate with infection control teams.

The role requires RGN with NMBI registration or eligibility, excellent communication, and flexibility to rotate day shifts; endoscopy experience is desirable.

• Hold an RGN qualification with NMBI registration or be eligible for registration.

• Experience in Endoscopy or Flexible Cystoscopy desirable.
• Post-registration nursing experience in a surgical setting preferred.

We are hiring a Staff Nurse – Endoscopy for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.

37.5 hours per week

Specific Purpose Contract

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care and treatments to the highest possible standard in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care using the nursing process approach.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate patient records and implement discharge planning based on individual patient needs.
• Administer medications, IV drugs, blood products and controlled drugs in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor patients following medication administration, document observations and report any adverse events or medication errors.
• Follow best practice guidelines for infection prevention and control, promptly reporting and managing infections in accordance with hospital policies.
• Work closely with the Infection Control Nurse to maintain high standards of infection control.
• Ensure the safe handling and appropriate disposal of medical waste in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

Demonstrate personal and professional accountability for patient care.

Hold an RGN qualification with NMBI registration or be eligible for registration.
