We are urgently seeking a Staff Nurse -Emergency Department for a hospital in Cork Ireland.Nurses will be required to work days, nights, and weekends.
Deliver safe, effective, and timely nursing care to patients presenting to the ED/UCC.
Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritisation of patients according to clinical urgency.
Monitor, observe, and document patients’ clinical conditions, escalating concerns promptly.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders and clinical guidelines.
Provide emergency interventions and life‑saving measures as required.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies.
Adhere to infection prevention and control, health and safety, and clinical governance standards.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Have a minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification nursing experience.
Previous experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting is desirable.
Experience in venepuncture and IV cannulation is desirable.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional standards.
Ability to work independently, use initiative and remain self‑motivated while contributing effectively to the multidisciplinary team.
