Job summary

A healthcare organization located in Dublin is seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to provide high-quality physiotherapy services. Staff Grade Physiotherapist

  • 1.0WTE (35 hours)
  • Temporary specified purpose contract (12 months approx.)
  • H.S.E. funded & Board of Directors funded
  • Based in Harold’s Cross

The post holder will provide safe, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment, treatment and intervention for patients and residents as directed by the Senior Physiotherapist/Physiotherapist Manager. The post holder will work with the Physiotherapist Manager in ensuring the development, co-ordination and delivery of a quality, patient centred physiotherapy service.

Annual registration:

On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Physiotherapy qualification:

(a) The B.SC (Honours) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Dublin, or

(b) The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, or

(c) The Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Honours) Degree from the National University of Ireland, or

(d) The Diploma in Physiotherapy of the University of Dublin or the National University of Dublin, or

(e) The BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick, or

(f) A physiotherapy qualification eligible for registration with CORU

  • CORU registration or proof of application for registration/upcoming application pending in the case of new graduates
  • 0 -12 months post graduate experience in one or more of the following areas: Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Diseases, Care of the Older Person, Palliative Care.
  • Demonstrate good clinical knowledge & competence in one or more of the following clinical services; Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Diseases, Care of the Older Person, Palliative Care.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate competent and confident IT skills - Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail.

Annual registration:

On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).
  • Active membership of a relevant ISCP interest group.
