Job summary

European Tech Recruit is collaborating with a leading semiconductor company in Cork to recruit a Staff Engineer - AI Accelerator Card Security. The role focuses on defining security requirements for AI accelerator card components and securing communications between BMC and platform-management services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years in product security.
• Understanding of the security relevance of physical components on AI accelerator cards (BMC, PRoT, flash, PCIe switches).
• Understanding of key management, certificate management, and firmware authentication.
• Understanding of security lifecycle, root-of-trust, and secure boot.
• Experience performing security risk assessments on systems of discrete components.
• Experience drafting security specifications and reviewing systems for compliance.
• Proficiency in C for firmware/security review; Proficiency in Python for provisioning utilities and protocol validation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of MCTP, SPDM, PLDM, Redfish protocols.
• Experience designing security provisioning protocols in factory settings.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the security requirements for components on an AI Accelerator card.
• Define and document mechanisms for secure communication between the BMC and platform-management services, including Redfish, SPDM-based, and PLDM-based interactions.
• Define and document processes to establish device identity, collect measurements, generate evidence, and verify evidence for PRoT attestation to a management service through the BMC.
• Represent the security team in customer, vendor, and standards forums, especially on attestation protocols.
• Evaluate components for security requirement compliance and work with vendors to fix gaps.
• Design and document services for device-personalization and provisioning of keys, certificates, identities, and configuration data in factories.
• Design and document test plans and production-line validation to verify provisioned identities, keys, certificates, and secure config data.
