Job summary

Intercom is seeking a data-focused engineer to own the account identity and hierarchy backbone, building scalable pipelines for deduping and resolving entities across CRM data. You will enrich accounts with signals and feed Salesforce with accurate ownership and metadata.

You will design LLM-powered enrichment and integrate with the modern data stack (dbt/Snowflake/Airflow) while partnering with GTM teams to unlock reliable forecasting and revenue operations.

Qualifications

• Interest in growing the business and affinity for GTM teams.
• Experience with the modern data stack: dbt, a cloud warehouse (Snowflake), and a DAG orchestrator (Airflow).
• Experience building with LLMs in production: prompt design and evaluation, tooling, cost/latency control.
• Experience with entity resolution and deduplication: matching messy real-world records.
• Hands-on experience integrating with SaaS APIs, especially Salesforce.
• Strong communication: explain data changes to executives and engineers.
• Growth mindset and fast learning in a rapidly changing tooling space.

Responsibilities

• Own account identity and dedupe pipelines at scale.
• Model account hierarchy and parent-child relationships.
• Build account sourcing pipelines from signals and push to Salesforce.
• Source and enrich contacts for target accounts.
• Build LLM-powered enrichment using web search and crawling.
• Make data usable in dbt models and sync to GTM stack.
• Own quality with tests, alerts, reconciliations.
• Partner with Sales/Marketing/Ops to design scalable data foundations.
