Job summary

MSD Ireland in Ireland is seeking a Senior MPS Specialist to lead the site’s Manufacturing Performance System and drive continuous improvement across value streams. This role focuses on delivering measurable business results through expert MPS deployment and cross-functional collaboration.

You will train and coach teams, maintain an active MPS strategy with the site lead, and influence at all levels to achieve world-class supply objectives while supporting change management and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Lean tools expertise across Tier, Problem Solving Leader Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S.
• GMP knowledge beneficial but not essential.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities to develop others.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
• Change execution management and adaptability.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior MPS Specialist.

MPS is an integrated production system for how the company designs, manages, and continuously improves our operations and supporting business processes, enabled through the development of our people.

What You Will Do

• Provide support sitewide to deliver significant business results through use of MPS. Support critical improvement projects as the MPS subject matter expert.
• Work with the site MPS lead to maintain an active MPS strategy for the site, linked to the site and company strategy.
• Enable the company World Class Supply objectives through Value Stream analysis/ Supply Chain Design on key franchises.
• Deliver training and coaching to build a culture of self-sustaining MPS capability.
• Deploy companywide MPS initiatives as required e.g. Closed Loop Management System Fundamentals of Tier, Problem Solving, Leader Standard Work, Hoshin etc.
• Demonstrate the mindsets and behaviours required to drive a high-performance culture in daily work.

What Skills You Will Need

• Manufacturing facility and equipment knowledge and experience
• GMP compliance knowledge and experience beneficial, but not essential
• Be capable of working under own initiative with minimal direction, with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
• Possess a detailed knowledge of and demonstrated ability to employ multiple lean tools (e.g. Tier, Problem Solving Leader Standard Work, Challenge Statements, Value Stream Mapping, waste analysis, capacity analysis, creation of standard work, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban etc.).
• Possess excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others to achieve results
• Possess excellent communication skills, and an ability to lead and influence at all levels. Ability to make an impact and influence without direct line authority.
• Knowledge of change execution management. Openness to and ability to effect change.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and produce quality deliverables.
• Proactive, structured, and logical problem-solving skills, respond to change in a positive and flexible manner
• A keen interest in people development with a demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others to achieve results
• Computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint etc.
