Now Hiring: Senior Packaging Engineer (Medical Devices)

We’re seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on delivering innovative, compliant, and patient-focused packaging solutions for cutting-edge medical devices. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Vascular & Implant Therapies space at a global leader in medical technology. If you’re passionate about precision, design excellence, and continuous improvement, this role is for you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative packaging components and assemblies for Class II and III medical devices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams, contributing to new product introductions, technology transfers, and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (design inputs, specifications, validations, protocols, and reports) in compliance with global regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or support root cause investigations, CAPAs, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure robust package validation and qualification in line with FDA, ISO, and EU MDR requirements.
  • Collaborate globally with packaging engineering peers to share knowledge and drive best practices.
  • Apply project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver impactful results.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and stakeholders.

Ideal Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging Technology, or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in medical device packaging engineering or a related highly regulated industry.
  • Proven success in medical packaging design, development, and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of biomedical materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 11607, ASTM).
  • Excellent technical writing, project management, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with clarity and accountability.
