BioMarin is seeking a GEO Supply Chain Operations Specialist, based in Ireland, to coordinate external contract manufacturing activities for clinical and commercial products. BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
The GEO Supply Chain Operations Specialist serves as an integral member of the Global External Operations team who has responsibility for and plays a key role in readiness for external contract manufacturing activities relating to commercial drug products. They help coordinate starting material, drug product and finished packaged goods supply needs between contract manufacturers and internal BioMarin teams to ensure that all commercial and clinical needs are defined and met. The candidate is required to work closely with a cross-functional team and coordinate activities between Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, MSAT and the contract manufacturer.
