Job summary

Maynooth University Library invites applications for a Library Assistant (2026) to support our Special Collections & Archives and engage with rare books, manuscripts, and archival materials across the John Paul II Library and the Russell Library.

You will work as part of a small, collaborative team to deliver an excellent experience for researchers, staff, students and visitors, assisting with access, inquiries and collection handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environment.
• Interest in libraries, archives or Special Collections.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with access to rare books, manuscripts and archival materials.
• Support researchers, staff, students and visitors.
• Contribute to delivering an excellent user experience.
