Qualifications

Fern Dean Stepaside Nursing Homeare currently recruiting for aSous-Chefto lead, manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operation, maintaining high standards of food and service at The Fern Dean Stepasides Nursing Home, Dublin 18 (part of the Virtue Group).

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Sous- Chef to run a 5-star food service in one of Ireland's leading luxury nursing homes.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Menu design, creative food preparation and running fine dining events
  • Ensure that the highest standard of food quality, Nutrition, presentation and service are achieved and maintained at all times
  • Ensure regular monitoring of menus for variety and cost and to provide innovative ideas for menu planning
  • Tailoring recipes and menus for modified Diets
  • The performance of any reasonable task which assists with the efficient operation of the unit
  • Purchasing and ordering stock and food

Qualification / Experience:

  • Food Production / Culinary Arts and / or operational experience in: Working in a Nursing Home or Healthcare Environment is preferable.
