About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

The name Google came from 'googol,' a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in-depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Business Reviews with leadership showcasing progress on cross-functional OKRs, identify new opportunities, and promote service offerings (e.g., centralized invoice validation).
  • Become a recognized expert in S2P processes and operations, including enrollment, purchase requisition/purchase order creation, invoicing, payments, approvals, and validation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how Product Area (PA) processes interact with Source-to-pay (S2P) and Global Business Services (GBS) processes, systems landscape, and stakeholders (business, finance, and accounting teams).
  • Leverage data to identify, prioritize, implement, and measure process improvements that enhance and optimize the control environment, drive standardization and continuous improvement, and scale with growth.
  • Partner with source to pay operational leads to develop standardized frameworks for integrations, new product set ups, divestitures, and process governance (with a focus on change management and documentation).
