The Solutions Architect will champion the design and delivery and implementation of high quality, scalable and cost-effective technical solutions that meet business needs. The Solutions Architect will leverage their extensive technical expertise to create end-to-end IT architectures, guide development teams, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to deliver innovative solutions. This position requires a blend of deep technical knowledge and strong business acumen.
Understand various registry related business domains including actors, business processes, constraints, risks and business rules. Develop and design technical solutions that address business requirements while maintaining performance, scalability, reliability, and security across enterprise systems. Work closely with customers, business leaders, product managers, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable, cost-effective solutions. Design and implement on-prem and public cloud-based solutions (e.g. Azure) that enhance operational efficiency and reduce infrastructure costs. Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new software, platforms, and frameworks to improve system performance and functionality. Architect solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure, ensuring optimal system communication and data flow. Ensure that all designed solutions adhere to security best practices, compliance requirements, and business continuity standards. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation for architectures, solutions, and processes to ensure clarity and ease of maintenance. Analyze and troubleshoot architecture related issues in a timely fashion in partnership with the Architect Team and AMS Team. Assist Junior Architects in their assigned responsibilities when required. Responsible for the development of architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents, and architecture diagrams in partnership with the Architect Team and AMS Team.
A degree in Computer Science, IT or other related field, combined with at least 5 years experience in IT Architecture, system design and development. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure products and services, development frameworks and languages. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, etc., are an asset. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Github). Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF. A proven track record of building strong relationship with customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Solid work planning and time management skills.
