Job summary

The Solution Architecture Manager at ESB will lead a team of Solution Architects and drive the delivery of high-quality, secure, and sustainable solution designs across ESB's technology landscape.

Working with Enterprise and Domain Architects, delivery teams and business stakeholders, you will translate requirements into end-to-end designs, evolve the Architecture operating model, and embed governance and collaborative practices as ESB moves to a decentralised architecture.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in corporate IT with solution architecture or equivalent leadership roles.
• Third level degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing architecture teams.
• Proven experience managing a professional service, practice or capability.
• Strong solution architecture experience across complex programmes or technology portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects, fostering architectural excellence, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Drive the evolution of the Solution Architecture service, governance processes and practices to support ESB's decentralised model.
• Partner with Enterprise and Domain Architects and delivery teams to translate direction into end-to-end solution designs.
• Provide architectural leadership across a portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring designs align with business objectives.
• Drive consistency and quality through common patterns, reusable approaches and best practices.
• Lead architecture assurance and governance activities to ensure secure, resilient and maintainable solutions.
• Build architecture capability across ESB by mentoring architects and fostering a connected community.
