Job summary

Green Powered Systems is seeking an experienced Solar PV Roofer/Carpenter to join our Westmeath team. You will carry out carpentry and roof-preparation work for solar installations on domestic, commercial and agricultural roofs.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of carpentry and roofing experience, can work at heights, and hold a full driving licence. The role offers practical training and progression opportunities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ carpentry and roofing experience.
• Strong practical carpentry skills.
• Experience on pitched and flat roofs.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Ability to read measurements and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry and roof-preparation work required for solar PV installations.
• Install, mount and secure solar PV panels and supporting systems on domestic, commercial and agricultural roofs.
• Assess roof structures and determine appropriate fixing and mounting methods.
• Measure, cut, fit and secure timber and other construction materials where required.
• Work alongside electricians and other installers to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all installations meet the required technical, quality and safety standards.
• Inspect completed work and identify or correct installation issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain the installation process when required.
• Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements, particularly when working at heights.
