The Global Network Edge (GNE) team is responsible for delivering technology solutions for the Edge layer of the network. It connects Google's cloud customers to cloud Networking and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offerings, as well as users to Google's services such as Gmail, Search, and YouTube through Google. Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Write product or system development code; review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies; contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Participate in the development of software and networking solutions that improves the velocity, performance, safety, transparency, and manageability of Google network systems across multiple engineering teams.
