Job summary

Cadence in Cork, Ireland seeks a Software Engineer II to join the Stratus HLS AI/LLM Systems team. You will write production-grade C++ and Python code, build AI-powered tools, and contribute to IDE tooling in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE or related field with relevant experience.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python for ML workflows and tooling.
• Experience with LLM APIs, AI agents or ML tools from projects or work.
• Solid data structures, algorithms and modular software design principles.
• Ability to translate specs into implementation tasks with clear interfaces.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborative team player with good communication and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Implement AI agent features using LLMs within Stratus HLS environment.
• Build and test agent pipelines connecting Stratus tools and APIs.
• Apply prompt engineering and RAG to improve AI responses.
• Develop VS Code extension components to surface AI capabilities.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Read feature specs and translate into implementation plans and data structures.
