Job summary

Scurri, based in Wexford, Ireland, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Lean and Agile engineering team. You will help optimise ordering, shipping, and delivery processes for retailers, leveraging AI-assisted workflows and modern CI/CD practices.

You will work on high-performance connectors, scalable architectures, and modular designs to support global retailers. We value Lean principles, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to quality in every release.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python experience (FastAPI and Django).
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, Clean Code, and SOLID.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and Git workflows.

You will join an engineering team rooted in Lean and Agile principles. We believe:

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance connectors for third-party APIs and shipping carrier networks, leveraging AI-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery.
• Architect systems capable of handling the high-velocity demands of global retailers.
• Craft modular, "plug-and-play" software architectures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 3+ years of professional experience with Python (FastAPI and Django).
• Strong grasp of software design patterns, Clean Code, and SOLID principles.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, orLLM-based agents) to improve personal throughput and code quality.
• Knowledge of Git and experience with advanced branching strategies.
• Proficiency in unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and an understanding of distributed system architecture.
• A strong belief in Lean methodologies and a "Build-Measure-Learn" approach.
