Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Python, AI) to join a cross-functional team building scalable, cloud-native platforms. You will design and implement REST APIs, contribute to AI features, and work in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with product management, cloud architecture, and data science teams to deliver measurable business outcomes while adopting DevOps practices and modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• Design and develop scalable software and REST APIs for Acuity's digital ecosystem.
• Contribute to solutions using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Pydantic) and DevOps practices.
• Support deployment and operation of containerized solutions using cloud-native principles.
• Help build and integrate AI features into software systems for automation and data intelligence.
• Participate in implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Work in Agile environments and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Support testing with PyTest and adhere to TDD/BDD practices.
• Ensure security practices through OpenID/OAuth2 and container vulnerability scanning.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• Participate in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (DevOps Pipelines, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions etc)

• Collaborate in Agile environments, applying agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban to deliver iterative outcomes

• Take part in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions to ensure quality and continuous improvement

• Support unit, integration, and performance tests using PyTest with TDD/BDD practices

• Help ensure security best practices through AuthN/AuthZ (OpenID/OAuth2) and container vulnerability scanning

• Work with product management, cloud architecture, and data science teams to deliver business outcomes

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with and demonstrable interest in AI, machine learning, or data driven applications

• Exposure to containerization, such as Docker, or cloud-native development

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools or DevOps concepts

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases

• Curiosity about modern frameworks, such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or OpenAI API

• Interest in security best practices or DevSecOps
